Time to prune lavender plants! This is when we prune our plants, we are almost done with our 15,000 plants! We hedge back 1/3 of the plant or if the plants are small, we trim down to three leaf nodes above the wood. On large plants a hedge trimmer works great. For 1 to 2 year old plants use hand held pruning shears. After pruning make sure to water if plant is lacking. Your plants will begin to take off.
