Lavender Plants

Do you ship lavender plants?

Yes, we do lavender plants but only in the form of 1” plug trays or liners.  There are 72 plugs to a tray.  We ship in March and April ONLY. All other sizes, i.e. 2 ½”, 3 ½” and gallon sizes are for farm pick up only.

When is the best time to pre-order plants?

In order to customize an order and to ensure you will receive the plants you wish to get, the best time to order is in the Fall.  Custom orders must be made by November 15th

I will be picking up my plants at your farm and I need to know what size are the trays so I can make sure they will fit in my vehicle?

In order to determine the space requirement in your vehicle, please note the dimension of the trays for both 2 1/2″ inch and 3 1/2″ pot is 11″ x 21″.  For the 2 1/2″ pot allow 8 inches in height; for the 3 1/2″ pot allow 10 inches in height.

Farmstand

When do you open your farm stand for the season?

We are usually open by the first of May and are open until mid-September.  Festival weekends we are open on Sundays. See our calendar of events.

What will you be doing on your farm in regards to the COVID-19 circumstance?

For the 2021 farm season, when visiting the farm we ask that you wear a mask inside our farmstand, outside and the greenhouse area, masks are optional.   We are scheduling plant pick times. For the months of June and July, we are accepting walk ins or appointments.  We are offering plant and product shopping at our farm stand, and classes. See our Event page. Lavender Festival weekend we will be taking appointments and requiring entrance tickets to be purchased.

As the health COVID 19 epidemic is ever changing as well as the Colorado State policies, please keep in touch regarding any changes.  As best we can, we will keep our policies up to date on our website.

What will you be doing on your farm in regards to the COVID-19 circumstance?

We are developing a system on the farm to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.  We are encouraging pre-orders and “curbside pick up”. We will allow a fixed amount of walk-in traffic. We will provide an open market for our products and direct traffic in the plant areas. You can email your plant order to us here. We are scheduling plant pick times.

After May we will be open by appointment only. We will be offering scheduled classes and events throughout the season.

Can I take photographs of my family in your lavender fields?

We welcome Amateur Photographers to take photos of friends, family and the beauty of our farm while visiting Sage Creations during normal business hours at no charge.

I am a commercial photographer and would like to take some commercial shoots or family portraits for my clients in your lavender fields after your designated business hours. What is your policy?

We welcome Professional Photographers who wish to use Sage Creations as a backdrop/setting for any portrait photography or commercial photography so long as they abide by the Farm Rules.

For purposes of this photography policy, portrait photography includes, but is not limited to, photographic sessions for high school seniors, engagement, family, graduation, wedding, etc.

In addition, commercial photography includes but is not limited to, pictures taken for use in catalog, fashion, advertisement, promotion, etc.

U-Pick Lavender

Do you let people pick their own lavender? If so when is the best time to go?

U-Pick lavender begins mid June and goes through mid to late July. You can purchase your U-Pick tickets here.

What will I need to pick my bundles?

Baskets and scissors (you may bring your own scissors) are provided.

We will show you how to harvest. If you wish you avoid the heat of the day schedule your visit early. Wear comfortable shoes, you will experience uneven surfaces.
